Zupko Privacy Policy

Zupko Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Chamath Wanigasooriya provides Zupko (zupko.flaze.com), an Android interval workout timer. The basic app is free and includes advertising. Zupko Pro is an optional subscription. This policy explains how the app handles information.

Information stored on your phone

Zupko stores your timer settings, routine names, custom intervals, saved workout progress and completed workout history on your phone. History keeps up to 200 completed sessions. These details let you save routines, resume a paused session and review previous workouts.

Zupko does not require an account and does not upload your routines or workout history to a developer-operated server. It does not use Health Connect or collect heart rate, weight, medical records, GPS location, contacts, camera images or microphone recordings. The app plays sound cues; it does not record audio.

Advertising and privacy choices

The free app uses Google AdMob. Google's advertising services may collect and share device and advertising identifiers, IP addresses that can indicate approximate location, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic information. These are used for advertising, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention. This processing is separate from your locally stored workout history.

Zupko uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request and manage advertising privacy choices where required. When available, open More options > Ad privacy options to review those choices. You can also manage your advertising ID in Android settings. Choosing non-personalized ads does not necessarily stop all advertising data processing.

While Zupko recognizes an active Pro subscription, it removes its banner and stops requesting ads. This does not delete information previously processed by Google or its partners.

For Google's practices and available controls, see the Google Privacy Policy and AdMob privacy information.

Subscriptions and payments

Google Play handles subscription checkout and payments. Zupko receives purchase and subscription information, including purchase tokens and status, to check access, acknowledge purchases and restore Pro. It stores the last checked access status and check time locally. Zupko does not receive or store your payment card details and has no developer-operated purchase-verification server.

Google processes payment and purchase records under its own policies. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play. Deleting local app data or uninstalling Zupko does not cancel a subscription or erase Google's purchase records.

Retention and deletion

Local settings, saved routines, workout history and subscription-status information remain on your phone until removed, replaced or cleared. Older history entries are removed when the 200-session limit is exceeded. You can delete saved routines in the app. To remove all local Zupko data, clear the app's storage in Android settings or uninstall it. The current app does not provide cloud sync or enable Android backup of its app data.

Google and advertising partners control retention of information they process. Clearing Zupko's storage does not erase their records. Use their privacy controls or contact them for requests concerning that information.

Support and privacy requests

If you email me, I receive your email address and anything you include, such as a description or screenshot. I use that information to respond and resolve your request, retaining it as needed for that purpose and any applicable obligations. Please avoid sending passwords, payment card details or unnecessary sensitive information.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete information, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Contact me about information I hold. I cannot retrieve or remotely delete workout data stored only on your phone. Requests about Google's data can also be made through Google's privacy controls.

Security and other services

Zupko keeps local app data in Android's app storage. Google's Mobile Ads SDK encrypts its transmitted data using TLS. No electronic storage or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Google services may process information on servers outside your country under their policies.

Links to Google Play, privacy policies and other websites open third-party services with their own practices. This policy describes the Zupko Android app; the Blogger website hosting it also operates under Google's policies.

Children's privacy

Zupko is intended for adult users and is not directed to children. I do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent me personal information, contact me so I can address the request and delete information I hold where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. Updates will appear on this page with a revised date.
