VibeCheck ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by VibeCheck.

This Privacy Policy applies to our website, and its associated subdomains (collectively, our "Service") alongside our application, VibeCheck. Local Data

VibeCheck is primarily a local-first application. All your habits, completion history, notes, and statistics are stored locally on your device's internal storage. We do not have access to this data, and it is not uploaded to any external server managed by us.

Data Backup

The "Data Backup" feature allows you to export your data to a JSON file. This file is user-generated and stored in a location of your choice on your device or personal cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive, if selected by you). We do not have access to these backup files.

Third-Party Services

We use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:

  • AdMob (Google): We use AdMob to display banner and rewarded ads. AdMob may collect data such as device identifiers, location data, and usage data to provide personalized advertising.
  • Google Play Billing: We use Google Play Billing for In-App Purchases (Pro Upgrade). All financial transactions are handled securely by Google. We do not process or store your credit card or payment information.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect (via third-party services) for the following purposes:

  • To specify your Pro status (via Google Play Billing).
  • To serve relevant advertisements (via AdMob).
  • To improve the stability and performance of the app (via crash reporting, if enabled).

2. Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Since your primary habit data is stored locally, the security of that data also depends on the security of your physical device.

4. Children's Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
